Pupils follow the Cambridge International Syllabus. The full A Level award comprises of four components. AS students take two components, Component 1 which is a controlled test (30%) and Component 2 is  made up of a coursework project  ( 20%). A2 students take Component 3 which is made up of another coursework project (30%) and Component 4 is an illustrated essay relating to either coursework 2 or 3. Students are assessed on their Personal Qualities, such as the scope and vitality of their personal ideas, as well as the degree of their imagination and inventiveness. They are also assessed on their Manipulative, Artistic and Analytical Skills, on their Aesthetic Qualities and on their Knowledge and Understanding.
