Music Years 7, 8 and 9

Music

Key Stage 3 Music is based on the four activities of performing, composing, listening and appraising of the National Curriculum for England and Wales.

During the three years, students explore a variety of topics from different traditions, places and times, developing their ability to perform and create music with the understanding of key features and techniques.

Performances and composing skills are developed through activities that use singing, percussion, keyboards and music technology. Students extend their aural skills through a range of listening activities and extend their music vocabulary through keywords.
