This year´s winner of the BSB Scholarship is Tatiana Ignatova, from Year 12.
“I´m very happy to have been granted the scholarship, this is a way for me to thank my parents for their support and effort in providing me with a good education”, she said shortly after being told the outcome of her application.
The panel´s decision to grant the scholarship to Tatiana was unanimous. “We were impressed by her sense of duty and personal responsability and also by her maturity – said the School´s Headmaster Josep González -.
“During the interview she came across as a very confident person without a touch of arrogance and able to think on her feet. We were also impressed by the fact that for she considers learning for the sake of learning to be very important”, he added.
When she finishes school two years from now, Tatiana plans to study medicine, ideally in England. She would like to specialise in dentistry with a second degree in maxifacial surgery. Two other areas of specialisation that attracts her attention are hematology and oncology.
Born in Moscow Tatiana moved to Spain with her family in 2001. She joined the British School of Barcelona in September 2006 to start her secondary education.
