Facilities

The British School of Barcelona’s modern and spacious premises, equipped with the latest technology, provide an ideal setting in which the teaching and learning process can take place.

The classrooms in the different buildings that make up the school are large and well lit. Each classroom is equipped with modern teaching resources such as interactive whiteboards and other technological innovations.

The school also has its own library, three science laboratories, an indoor gymnasium, plus a number of IT and music rooms. We also have a number of outdoor multi-sports courts, gardens and playgrounds.

Early Years, along with Year 1 and Year 2 (Key Stage 1) pupils are taught in the New Building that we have built alongside the original premises.

The New Building, which has been designed to meet the needs of our youngest pupils, is a practical and modern construction that also includes additional spaces for PE and musical activities and will help to bridge the gap between Early Years and Primary Education.

The main building has been updated by means of a significant investment in new resources and technologies. We have provided more spaces for Secondary Education by updating the Sciences Department, improving the school dining room and expanding the area set aside for administrative purposes.

Our school occupies a strategic location in Castelldefels, a stone’s throw from several sports clubs with which we have special agreements, such as the Olympic Canal, the Andrés Gimeno Tennis Club and the Granvia Mar Sports Club.
