Students at our school have direct access to all Universities throughout Europe with A Level results achieved at the end of Year 13. It is becoming increasingly common for universities to require students to take extra entrance exams, to demonstrate specific skills/ qualities/knowledge, but this it the case for students from all countries and schools. We are very happy for students to sit these exams in school with the permission of the relevant university.
Traditionally most students from our school enter either Spanish or UK universities. However, over the last two years students have made successful applications to study Economics in Amsterdam, PPE in America and Medical Science in Australia; they truly are an international group of young people who aim high and work hard to achieve their career goals.
Last year all of our Year 13 students were accepted by their first choice universities in the UK and in Spain. Over the last five years our students have been accepted at the following universities:
Cambridge Universitat Pompeu Fabra
Imperial College London Universitat Politènica de Catalunya
Oxford Universitat Blanquera Ramon Llull
Aston University Universitat de Barcelona
Goldsmiths University ESADE
University Of Westminster
King’s College London
Royal Holloway
Warwick University
CASS Business School
Leeds University
The University of York
They went on to study a huge range of subjects including Computing, Law. Business and Finance, Economics, Pharmacology, History and English, International Business, Engineering, Architecture and Sports Science
All students are given guidance and support throughout the application process whichever country they decide to apply to.
A few students do decide to take a Gap year and they have worked in a huge range of placements including, an orphanage in Africa and a local international school. They then return to their studies in the university of their choice with the benefit of a year’s personal enrichment behind them.
