Year 6 put on a musical adaptation of this classic tale of an orphan who runs away from the workhouse orphanage and is taken in to join a gang of child pickpockets in Victorian England. The children brought the show to life with their fantastic acting and their confident singing. It was a fantastic team effort by everyone and they created a tremendous afternoon’s entertainment. They really made their Year 6 teachers and parents feel very proud!
Mr Taylor, Year 6 Lime teacher, was indeed full of pride when he said “Year 6 teachers would like to congratulate the children as regards their performance when they took to the stage to perform the show “Oliver!”. The production came at the end of hard work that started before Easter when the parts were rehearsed for and roles were given. Without the hard work from the children in learning the lines, stage directions and songs, it wouldn´t have been such a success. Also, a big thank you to the parents who helped add to the show with the fantastic outfits and props that they helped the group acquire.”
Congratulations, young actors and actresses!
