The 2015-16 academic year is underway at the BSB!

The British School of Barcelona has welcomed over a thousand students into the school community this week, as the BSB 2015-16 academic year officially begun last Monday. This is the start of the school’s 58th year of teaching!!

Our students have already enjoyed an exciting first week of the autumn term and we all look forward to another stimulating and successful school year.

New students, parents and teachers have joined us this week. New lessons, new timetables, new societies and new after-school activities (coming soon!) will provide our children, once again, many learning opportunities for them to excel.

There have also been a number of improvements to the school site and facilities during the summer and we have paid special attention to the access to and security around the school, which is all part of our commitment to creating a safe learning environment for everyone.

Welcome you all, students and parents, to a brand new BSB school year!

“Welcome back. It’s certainly been a very busy week with the school settling down and getting back into routine. Personally, it has been a real delight to meet and talk to so many happy children and young people and of course it has been a pleasure to meet so many parents at the school gates. We are all looking forward to another exciting and successful school year. There is a lot happening this term, book fair, extra-curricular activities, Halloween Celebrations and Information Evenings for Parents, to name but a few.” Mr Bell, Executive Headteacher.

“We have been very pleased with how well the pupils have settled quickly back to their routines this week especially with so many new children joining us throughout the Department.”, Mrs Oxberry, Head of Early Years and Primary.

“It has been lovely to welcome the staff and students back to what promises to be another exciting and successful year at school. In particular we would like to say that we hope all of the new students, parents and teachers will enjoy their time with us and that they will spend many happy years at the BSB.” Mrs Hughes, Head of Secondary
