The Easter Egg Hunt is an opportunity to celebrate one on the most widespread traditions in the United Kingdom, but also to have fun with our BSB families and new families in an Easter activity which is suitable for all ages.
51 children attended our last Fun Saturday. We divided them into three groups. The first part of the session took place in the Primary Picasso Building, where all the Easter arts & crafts took place. We did headbands with bunny ears, bunny masks, we coloured and built Easter baskets to use them in our egg hunt, we coloured eggs and coloured some Easter draws.
After the arts & crafts the Egg Hunt started. All the eggs were hidden in the school playgrounds. Each child had to find the eggs and at the end of the activity the eggs were changed by a real prize: chocolate eggs.
By the end of the activity, we ran a raffle. Each child had a number to have the chance to win one of the three chocolate bunnies and three of the chocolate lollipops. They absolutely loved this!
“The children had a great morning and loved getting their chocolate treats after the egg hunt”, Mr Gross said. “All of the families that came along enjoyed creating masks, Easter baskets and bunny ears together before running round the school looking for hidden Easter eggs. It was a lovely interactive family morning.”
“Super FUN!! We did head bands with bunny ears, bunny masks and we decorated baskets to go for the egg hunt. Children love all this!”, Mrs Fernández said.
“The students really seemed to enjoy themselves. They especially enjoyed making the baskets which they later used to collect the eggs on the hunt. They seemed very proud of being able to make something practical”, Mr Rodgers said. And added, “A good time seemed to be had by all. It was hard to tell who had the biggest smile… the children or the adults! I thought the added touch of the raffle at the end for extra prizes was unexpected and which the families as a whole seemed very excited about.”
