Now into it’s 9th year, the BSB Castelldefels Music recital was organised as a celebration of the students’ achievement in the performing units of the GCSE / A Level. Since performing in a central part of music, the more students perform to an audience, the more it helps them develop self-confidence, self-awareness, personal discipline and control.
The students have been developing their performance skills throughout the year and this was an opportunity for them to share their work with their parents and also to ensure that coursework is finished in good time. Although most students were nervous before the event, they all felt a great sense of satisfaction afterwards.
Mr Hebden, Director of Learning Arts, said, “I’m very proud of all the students who performed. The performances were excellent. We had a wide range of levels and musical styles. Year 11 and 13 pieces will be assessed in a recording over the next few weeks as part of the final exams”.
