Ms Kovak, the event coordinator told us:
“We are very pleased with the number of students that participated in the race in aid of Save the Children last weekend. After a cold and snowy beginning to the week, the event took place on a wonderful, sunny afternoon with families, staff, and student volunteers of the school present. We had a great time and all for a great cause.
An important factor of this year´s race was that it was organised entirely by Pre-University students as part of the CAS (Creativity, Action and Service) programme, with the help of Mrs Serra and myself. As well as managing the race, students also organised arts and crafts, cake-decorating and face painting stalls, as well as other fun activities. The success on the day was the result of six months of commitment and cooperation, led by Starsun in Year 13, and Josefin in Year 12. Special thanks also go to IT teacher, Mr Lawson, and parent volunteer, Mrs Ramírez, who both did an excellent job with the Zumba and karaoke activities
However, it´s not over yet! This week (5th-12th March), students have continued their fundraising efforts by collecting donations from participants’ sponsors as well as through the Save the Children collection boxes in Reception at both campuses. The total amount raised will be published on Monday, 12th March.
To demonstrate how just how much we value the effort and dedication of the students, we will be creating a display to celebrate the work we have all done as part of the BSB community. “Who are we? We are the BSB!”
Well done everyone and thanks for your support!
