2020 BSB Nexus graduates gain access to world-class universities

Last June saw the graduation of 116 students of BSB Nexus, the Pre-University campus of The British School of Barcelona, who started an exciting new stage in their educational journey.

Most of these current BSB Alumni secured places at a range of prestigious universities around the world, with the vast majority going to their first choice of further education, and on some of the most competitive courses.

Students gained entry to some of the very best UK universities, including York, Durham, Imperial College London, King’s College London, Bristol and UCL (University College London).

The picture for Spain was equally strong with students gaining places and, in several cases, scholarships to excellent public and private universities including ESADE, University of Navarra, University of Barcelona (UB), Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), IE University and La Salle, amongst others.

This year has continued to see a growing interest amongst our students to study at Dutch universities, with students securing places at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Maastricht.

The outcome of a thorough process of individualised advice and guidance

As always, our Universities and Careers team have done an excellent job in unprecedented and uniquely trying circumstances, through information, advice and guidance to ensure our students have got so much to look forward to at their universities of choice over the coming years.

Mrs Burns, our University and Careers Counsellor, explains: “A really striking feature of this year’s University destination choices is the breadth of courses our students are going on to study, from Marine Science to Fashion Marketing and from Film to Law. This is a very healthy picture, with a student body who feel informed about and prepared for a wide range of futures and who have the confidence to pursue their individual pathways.”

News from 2019 Graduates!

We wish them all the best of luck in their new endeavour!
