Linked to our varied, intercultural curriculum, at The British School of Barcelona we keep creating opportunities for our children to get an understanding of religions and cultures others than their own.
In October, our Primary students, both at BSB Sitges and BSB Castelldefels, celebrated the Harvest Festival, a thanksgiving celebration traditionally held to give thanks for successful harvests since pagan times. Children enjoyed doing lots of activities based on it.
It was also an opportunity to share with others who are not so fortunate and help families who are facing difficulties in these challenging times. To this end, our recently appointed Primary Wellbeing Leaders ran food collections for the Caritas of Sitges and the Red Cross Castelldefels-Gavà-Begues food banks. A fine example of Leadership skills!
An amazing story came from one of our Wellbeing Leaders at BSB Castelldefels, who spent all her pocket money in buying 600 litres of milk for those who need it more than us. An extraordinary example of generosity and solidarity.
Thank you BSB Community for all your kind donations!
