Saturday 20th February saw the official opening ceremony of the rugby and football stadium of The British School of Barcelona. This sports facility has been in use for BSB students to benefit from during their PE academic curriculum, afterschool sport activities, and tournaments and sports fixtures with local and international clubs since September 2019. BSB students are able to use the facilities on a regular basis during term time throughout the school year, as well as during established periods on Saturday mornings.
Bad weather forecast early last year and the subsequent Covid-19 pandemic in March delayed the official opening of the complex. The sports complex is the result of the collaboration between the Town Council and our British international school. It is a facility which is shared by BSB and some local sports clubs, which make regular use of the facilities after school hours and during the weekend.
