BSB Nexus hosts first virtual What Next? Careers event ever

12th March saw our first virtual What Next? Careers event ever, which has been one of the highlights of our Careers & Futures Guidance programme for Pre-University students for six years now.

With an impressive range of speakers of different professions and backgrounds, this event is an opportunity for students to explore their areas of interest for their future careers. In addition to sharing their expertise on a variety of fields, speakers explained their career journey and gave students some tips and advice to follow their passions, but ensure they make the most of their time in school to prepare hard in order to develop the knowledge and skills they need to build their own pathways for whichever step they want to take in life.

With an aim to prepare our students to be world ready when they leave school, Mrs Burns, our University and Career Counsellor, organises this event every year, and it’s getting more and more successful over time. This year the virtual format will help us connect our students with international experts – including some parents and BSB Alumni.

Mrs Catherine Burns, our dedicated University and Career Counsellor, said: ‘Such a privilege to host the “What Next?” event with 16 speakers sharing about their unique career journeys with our Year 12 students. Offering sector insights, lessons learnt and the common threads of connection, collaboration, problem-solving and passion. Thank you for guiding them through their career journey’.
