This year’s Harvard Model Congress Europe (HMCE) has seen a virtual edition of the Conference, allowing a chosen group of BSB Nexus students to take part and achieve certificates of merit, thus enriching their extracurricular experience and engagement with real-world problems leading to exceptional personal statements for Universities.
HMCE is a government simulation conference run exclusively by undergraduates at Harvard College. It is regarded as the premier US and international government simulation in the world, and as such, it empowers students to think critically about government, civic engagement, and leadership.
The aim of HMCE is for students to step into the role of modern legislators, policymakers or diplomats and grapple with 21st-century issues affecting our world through active simulation of debates, caucuses, trials, press conferences and testimonies. This is an opportunity for students to hone critical skills, such as debating, public speaking, strategic negotiation and making compromises, that they will be able to apply in a variety of settings as they become leaders in tomorrow’s world.
At HMCE, students are able to explore their own strengths and weaknesses while learning from and along with their peers. By the end of the Conference, they leave empowered with new knowledge and the confidence to become civically engaged in their own communities. An incredible educational experience for all delegates from all walks of life.

Our congratulations to all of them for their HMCE certificates!
