We have all heard some amazing stories over the past few months of students supporting teachers and parents during lockdown with their amazing digital skills, from creating explainer videos, sharing online safety tips and charity initiatives to digital newsletters and more – as well as entrepreneurial projects resulting from school lessons.
This May, the ‘Check it out!’ show hosted a special student edition, where students from a range of schools, including The British School of Barcelona, showcased their digital learning and entrepreneurial projects.
Live sessions from BSB: Wellbeing and TechEd
The BSB Primary students Wellbeing team shared the amazing task they have been running since they were appointed as Wellbeing Leaders this academic year: what qualities they had to meet to be eligible for this prestigious leadership position, how much wellbeing means to them and what projects they have been running to raise the profile of wellbeing around school and their fundraising actions throughout the year. An extraordinary story!
BSB EdTech boost also had a slot in the May ‘Check it out!’ show, with three Year 6 and 7 students sharing all about their Minecraft Project. They recreated an ancient world with different countries using Minecraft as a learning tool. They highlighted the positive impact of technology in the classroom to share knowledge and skills and how they had to collaborate, thus fostering the development of the Socialising Learning Habit. They also explained the challenges they were faced with and how they managed to overcome them. An amazing job!
