Launching digital safety series on Safer Internet Day

As part of our Safer Internet focus, the Digital Strategy team at The British School of Barcelona have collaborated with a UK based Digital Safety Adviser, Alan Mackenzie, to share some short, informative videos with our families.

Alan Mackenzie is a specialist in the ever-changing and evolving area of online safety, mainly working in schools all over England. This series of bite size video tackle hot topics that parents and carers need to know about and keep up with the risks and issues our children may face online. Most importantly, they also need to know where to go for extra support.

At BSB we ensure all of our students, whatever their age, receive good online safety education in school, from early years through to college. Involving parents and carers in this learning process is vital to keep our children safe at home too.

The video series is made up of the following videos, and are available to BSB families trhough our Digital Zone on Cognita Connect, BSB exclusive parents app:

  1. Introduction video to the series
  2. The 3 C’s – Content Contact Conduct
  3. Online Gaming
  4. YouTube
  5. Social Media
  6. Screentime
  7. Useful Links & Resources
