The British School of Barcelona es un colegio magnífico situado en un lugar maravilloso. Beginning September 2025, we are actively seeking a Chemistry Teacher.

The position will be based at our Castelldefels campus where we have our largest secondary school. We deliver the IGCSE Triple and Double Award Science as well as the IBDP and A Level programme. We have six well-resourced labs on the main site and recently built a bespoke STEM centre for our Years 12 and 13 students.

Our school places a strong emphasis on scientific education, aiming to foster curiosity and critical thinking in our students. We offer a comprehensive range of examinations including IGCSE and IBDP courses in the sciences. An individual adept at inspiring students to excel in scientific pursuits, both within and beyond the classroom, would be an invaluable addition to our faculty.

Beyond academic achievement, we seek an individual who can contribute to our vibrant extracurricular programs and perhaps even establish new initiatives related to science. Required qualifications:

  • An essential criterion for this role is a proven track record in teaching Chemistry, at GCSE and IBDP or A level standards.

As a Physical Education Coach, you will be responsible for teaching a full range of Physical Education activities from EYFS to Year 6 including games, athletic activities, fundamental movement skills, gymnastics and dance. You should have the ability to ensure PE lessons are enjoyable and meaningful for all pupils, developing confidence, competence and creativity and an awareness of the importance of an active, healthy lifestyle for wellbeing. You will also be responsible for incorporating behaviour management styles that allow students to become accustomed to managing their own behaviour to prepare them for senior school.
