About us

The British School of Barcelona is a great school in a wonderful location. We are accredited as one of the best British Schools in the world following our recent BSO (British Schools Overseas) Inspection judging BSB as outstanding in every category.

BSB is a large, very popular school for children aged 3 to 18. Over 1700 pupils from more than 65 nationalities attend the school and over 250 staff work at BSB. Our curriculum is based on the English National Curriculum and we offer a wide range of GCSEs, A levels and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP), all alongside a significant enrichment programme.

Barcelona is one of the most vibrant, culturally rich cities in the world. Our school is based over four campuses located in the area of Barcelona. The BSB City campus enjoys a prime location in the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district of the city, and the BSB Castelldefels and the BSB Sitges campuses, just outside the city, are minutes away from beautiful beaches and are excellently connected by public transport.

Significant investment in recent years has seen the building of a Pre-University Centre (Nexus), a theatre, new science laboratories, a full-sized 4G rugby and football pitch and, most recently, a state-of-the-art STEM Centre.
