🔬 Science Fair 2026: a celebration of scientific discovery and exploration

📚 March has brought us one of the most anticipated STEAM events of the year—our across-campus Science Fair 2026. Students from BSB Sitges, BSB City, BSB Castelldefels and BSB Nexus came together at the BSB STEAM Centre in Castelldefels, sharing ideas, exploring big questions, and bringing their projects to life through hands-on learning.

🧪 Our pupils showcased outstanding work, reflecting weeks of dedication, creativity, and collaboration across the different topics they could choose between: Nature & Sustainability, Innovation, Kitchen Science, Health, and Technology. There was a real buzz of excitement, with incredible projects clearly supported by the students’ communication and presentation skills.

💡 It was truly inspiring to see students confidently present their ideas after all their hard work—what future scientists we have! Congratulations to all participants and winners. We’re already looking forward to next year!

🇦🇷 A true masterclass in rugby!

🏉 Our Year 4 pupils at BSB City recently enjoyed a series of special PE sessions with one of our BSB parents, Mr Sambucetti — an Argentine professional rugby union player who played as a lock for the Argentina national team and for Bristol in the UK.

👏 Across the sessions, Mr Sambucetti introduced students to the key concepts of rugby before leading hands-on practical activities that allowed them to build confidence, develop technique, and refine their skills.

🎯 Experiences like this bring learning to life, giving pupils the opportunity to benefit from expert insight while deepening their understanding through active participation.

‘BSB Speaks` brings our students to HMCE Madrid 2026!

🇪🇺 Our BSB Nexus students have returned from the Harvard Model Congress Europe (HMCE) in Madrid — an international government simulation where high school students come together each year to debate, collaborate, and lead.

🏆 As the only school in Spain to attend, our delegation brought home four awards: Best Speech in the Speak-Up Speech Contest, two Presidential Awards in the Senate Judiciary Committee, and an Honourable Mention in NATO (Advanced Committee).

🎤 Through simulations of debates, trials, press conferences, and negotiations, students strengthened their public speaking, critical thinking, and leadership skills. HMCE is one of many oracy and public speaking-focused trips our students can take part in, helping them refine the skills that have been embedded across curricular and extracurricular activities.

Cat, sip, cot, sat, mop… our youngest learners in Early Years are discovering how letters and sounds come together to make words.

🧩Through daily phonics sessions and playful activities, children match sounds to letters, building the foundations for early reading and writing.

📖 Stories, rhymes and conversations further develop literacy skills, nurturing a love of reading while supporting word recognition and comprehension.

🌍 Geography beyond the classroom

📚 At BSB, geography is more than just a subject in a textbook. Our Secondary students explore the world through hands-on learning, both inside and outside the classroom, using a wide range of resources to better understand the environments around them.

🏙️ Last week, our Year 10 students took their learning into the streets of Barcelona during an exciting field trip focused on urban geography.

📊 By collecting real data and observing how environments change across the city, students investigated urban patterns first-hand, turning Barcelona itself into their classroom.

✨ We feel privileged to have our campuses in such vibrant cities—rich in history, culture, art, and nature—where our students can fully benefit from these inspiring surroundings.
