Havent rebut l'acreditació «d'Excel·lent en totes les categories» a la nostra darrera inspecció, ens enorgulleix oferir una educació internacional de qualitat i prestigi reconegut a estudiants de dos a divuit anys.
Els resultats acadèmics són fonamentals, i l'alumnat de BSB obté qualificacions excepcionals, cosa que els permet accedir a les millors universitats tant a Espanya com a la resta del món. No obstant això, per prosperar en un món en constant evolució, els/les joves necessiten alguna cosa més que bones notes. Han de desenvolupar les habilitats i atributs necessaris en un món on molts llocs de treball estaran automatitzats, i les qualitats més «humanes», com la creativitat, la curiositat i la col·laboració, seran altament valorades.

Es tracta del més alt reconeixement que pot rebre una escola internacional, cosa que ens situa entre les millors escoles britàniques del món.
La inspecció de British Schools Overseas està acreditada pel Govern Britànic i som l'única escola de Barcelona amb aquest distintiu de qualitat.

🦈 Sleeping beside sharks? That’s exactly what our Year 2 pupils did this month!
🌊 BSB Sitges Students enjoyed an overnight adventure at the Barcelona Aquarium, experiencing marine life up close and spending the night beside the aquarium’s incredible sharks.
🔬 Through workshops, games, and hands-on discoveries, pupils became budding shark experts while connecting their Science learning to the real world: exploring animal groups, life cycles, and classification using key scientific vocabulary.
🤿 They also discovered the important work carried out every day by the aquarium’s scuba divers to care for the sharks and marine environment.
✨ A truly unique experience full of curiosity, learning, and memories they`ll love sharing at home.

✨ MAKING THE MOST OF BARCELONA AND ITS SURRONDINGS!
🌿This summer term, our Primary pupils have been stepping beyond the classroom and into Barcelona and its surroundings for enriching learning experiences, creative workshops and outdoor exploration.
📍 Year 6 students from BSB Castelldefels enjoyed a Barcelona Walking City Tour alongside our Assistant Executive Principal, James Petrie, discovering the city’s culture, history and landmarks in the city centre, linked to their Spanish Civil War inquiry they have been learning about.
🌱 Year 1 visited Bordas Garden, where they took part in hands-on workshops including pottery painting, planting, harvesting vegetables and learning all about gardening and sustainability.
🌳 Meanwhile, Year 2 and Year 6 pupils at BSB City embraced Forest School experiences, exploring local parks and gardens, getting creative with natural materials and enjoying the green spaces around the Sarrià neighbourhood.
💙 Learning happens everywhere — and these experiences help our students grow in confidence, curiosity and creativity.

📚 Building strong literacy foundations
🌟 Through daily phonics sessions, our Early Years learners are developing the foundations for reading and writing in a fun, engaging, and meaningful way.
💬 By exploring letters and sounds through stories, rhymes, songs, circle time, and interactive games, children build confidence in communication whilst developing early literacy and comprehension skills.
🎶 Using visuals, props, music, and group participation helps create a multisensory learning environment where children stay active, curious, and excited to learn together.
📚 Phonics gives children the tools to independently decode unfamiliar words, supporting them to become confident, fluent readers as they progress through their learning journey.

⚽🇮🇹 Milan Football Tour 2026 🇮🇹⚽
🏫 This May, 40 students from across BSB Castelldefels and BSB City travelled to Italy for four days of football, culture, and shared experiences.
⚽ The tour gave students the opportunity to compete against strong Italian opposition, learn about different styles of football, and enjoy the challenge of playing in a new environment alongside their teammates.
🔥 Highlights included attending Hellas Verona vs Como fixture, where students could feel the passion of Italian football firsthand, as well as visiting the iconic San Siro Stadium in Milan.
🌍 Away from football, students spent time exploring Verona and Milan, experiencing the atmosphere, architecture, food, and culture of two iconic Italian cities. From walking through the historic streets of Verona to visiting landmarks including the famous Duomo area in Milan, the trip gave students to create lasting memories together on and off the pitch.
👏 Throughout the trip, students represented BSB exceptionally well. Staff were incredibly proud of the maturity, positivity, and respect shown across the four days, as well as the way the group supported one another throughout the tour.
💙 We are incredibly proud to offer our students these unique learning experiences beyond the classroom — and the Milan Football Tour 2026 was no exception! A huge thank you to all staff, parents, organisers, and students who helped make it such a special success!

💙 Our Pre-University students are incredible role models for younger learners. Whether it’s organising and running Sports Days for Primary students, giving talks about the ethical use of AI in school, or supporting younger students through our Seven Steps Emotional Intelligence mentoring programme, they play an active role in everyday school life.
🏆 These leadership opportunities expand learning beyond the curriculum, giving students the chance to actively shape the BSB community, discover their passions, and build strong bonds across the student body.

✨ What happens when an entire school puts down the pens, closes the laptops, and simply talks?
🗣️ Today across BSB, we celebrated #NoPenMorning — a morning dedicated to the power of speaking, listening and student voice. Pens were put away, laptops were closed, and classrooms were transformed into spaces full of discussion, collaboration and creativity.
🌟 Activities were carefully designed to be both age-appropriate and engaging for every year group, with students taking part in everything from talk partners and storytelling activities in the younger years to debates, collaborative challenges and leadership opportunities for older students.
🎭 One of the biggest highlights of the morning was our lively teacher vs student debates on whether students should have a say in what they are taught in school alongside Shakespeare-inspired Drama workshops in Secondary.
💬 No Pen Morning also celebrated one year of the ‘BSB Speaks’ Programme, highlighting how oracy continues to transform learning across the BSB community and remains a key priority within the school’s development plan.

The British School of Barcelona és l’única escola a Barcelona que ha rebut l’estatus «Excel·lent en Totes les Categories» en la inspecció de British School Overseas l’octubre de 2024. Aquest és el reconeixement més alt que pot rebre una escola britànica. El nostre model educatiu destaca per la qualitat de la nostra ensenyança, la nostra relació amb les famílies i els/les estudiants, i l’enfocament global del nostre projecte educatiu. El professorat altament qualificat, el currículum innovador i l’enfocament tant en l’èxit acadèmic com en el creixement personal creen un entorn d’aprenentatge dinàmic. A més, oferim dues rutes per a les qualificacions d’accés a la universitat: el Programa del Diploma del Batxillerat Internacional (IBDP) i els A Levels (complementats amb qualificacions espanyoles si és necessari). Ambdós són reconeguts i respectats internacionalment per les principals universitats del món.
Assegurem una atenció personalitzada, un aprenentatge efectiu i un entorn d’aula de suport per fomentar el creixement individual. La nostra ràtio mitjana varia segons l’etapa educativa.
Unir-se a BSB és un procés senzill i àgil. El nostre equip d’Admissions està aquí per orientar-te en cada pas del camí. Per començar, hauràs de complementar el formulari de sol·licitud online i proporcionar els informes escolars més recents de l’alumne, passaport/ID i referències (si s’escau). Això ens permet iniciar el procés d’admissió i assegurar-nos que podem satisfer les necessitats del teu fill / de la teva filla. Depenent de l’edat de l’alumne i l’any d’ingrés, us proposarem fer una avaluació informal o una entrevista per avaluar la seva competència en anglès. A més, l’alumne tindrà una entrevista amb el/la Director/a com a part del procés.
