🤝 This week, we welcomed families to our Meet the Tutors events, an important opportunity to connect, share and begin the year with a strong partnership between home and school.

🌱 Tutors play a key role in students’ personal development, wellbeing and individual progress. As students move through Secondary, their tutor moves with them, building a strong relationship and getting to know them as individuals. This continuity is especially valuable at key transition points, such as Year 7 and Year 12, when students enter a new stage, take on greater independence and benefit from new forms of guidance and coaching.

🏠 Working closely with families is an essential part of this journey. By keeping communication open between home and school, we can work together to support each student every step of the way.

💙 It was lovely to see so many families with us this week, and we look forward to seeing you around school throughout the year, at the many educational and community events that bring our BSB community together.

🍂 A world of discovery begins outdoors.

🌱 For our Nursery pupils, these first weeks are all about adapting to new routines, discovering new spaces and getting to know new teachers and classmates. But they’re also filled with many opportunities to explore, imagine and discover something new every day.

🍁 Today, our Nursery pupils stepped outside to explore some of the natural treasures that the change of seasons brings like the fallen leaves. With a little imagination, these simple discoveries became the perfect tools for imaginary play, creativity and a world of their own.

🌿 At BSB, our Early Years provision embraces outdoor exploration as an essential part of learning, giving children the freedom to discover the world around them.

✨ Where will the Class of 2026 go next?

🎓 After sharing our 2026 exam results, we’re proud to continue celebrating the Class of 2026 with a series of student spotlights, sharing the stories behind their university destinations.

✨ Our now-alumni have kindly shared their experiences, from what inspired their university choices to what brought them to their dream destinations. Over the coming months, we’ll be introducing some of these stories and celebrating the exciting journeys ahead.

🏆 The Class of 2026 has secured 22 places at QS Global Top 100 universities, with a further 31 students progressing to universities ranked within the global Top 200.

🌍 Our students are also embarking on university journeys around the world. 55% have chosen to remain in Spain, while 21% are heading to the UK and 10% to the Netherlands. The remaining 14% are continuing their studies across international destinations including Italy, the US, Canada, Switzerland and beyond.

🏫 Building a strong community is at the heart of BSB.

The connection between our school and families is just as important as the relationships families build with one another — creating a sense of belonging that extends beyond the school gates.

🤝 That’s why events like our Community Day at BSB Maresme are so important. They give families the chance to meet, connect and start building the bonds that will shape our newest campus community.

🎨 Last week, families also had the opportunity to explore the campus, discover our afterschool activities and begin making the space their own, while seeing some of the learning and creativity their children have been developing.

🌱 And this is just the beginning! We have plenty more community events coming up across all our campuses throughout the year - opportunities to connect, celebrate and grow together.

🎓 The Class of 2026 is going places!

Following our Summer 2026 exam results, we’re delighted to share a first look at the university destinations of our BSB City and BSB Nexus graduates.

🌍 149 students are progressing directly to university, with destinations spanning 13 countries and territories — from Spain and the UK to the Netherlands, Canada, Hong Kong and beyond.

🇪🇸 Spain remains the most popular destination, with 55% of our graduates choosing to continue their studies at leading public and private universities, including UB, UPC, UAB, UPF, ESADE and IE University, among others.

🇬🇧 21% of our graduates are heading to the UK, with 71% of these students progressing to Russell Group universities, including Oxford, Imperial College London, UCL, King’s College London and the University of Edinburgh.

🇳🇱 The Netherlands is also an increasingly popular choice, with 10% of students heading to universities including the University of Amsterdam, Leiden University and TU Delft.

🏆 Across the Class of 2026, 22 students have secured places at QS global Top 100 universities, while 31 are progressing to universities ranked within the global Top 200.

🔬 Students are pursuing a diverse range of futures, with 42% progressing to STEM, engineering, medicine, health and life sciences, and 34% to business, management and economics.

🧮 Step inside a Primary classroom and discover how our pupils build strong mathematical foundations through hands-on learning with the help and guidance of our teachers.

🪙 From counting beads in tens to exploring coins and using individual whiteboards, our pupils use a range of practical resources to develop their understanding of units, tens and hundreds, addition and subtraction.

🧠 This approach gives children the opportunity to learn at their own pace, practise independently, track their progress and, most importantly, develop the confidence to think hard, make links, explain their reasoning and solve problems for themselves.
