🎶 What would an end-of-year celebration be without music?

🎤 Over the past few weeks, our campuses have been filled with the sound of music as students took to the stage for our Summer Concerts, proudly showcasing everything they have learned and practised throughout the year.

🎵 These performances are the result of months of dedication, perseverance, and passion, and we couldn`t be prouder of every student who performed.

👏 A special thank you to our Music Department and our peripatetic music teachers for their commitment, encouragement, and hard work behind the scenes. Your guidance helps our students grow not only as musicians, but also as confident performers.

🎓 And just like that... another incredible school year comes to an end!

✨ Across our campuses, we celebrated our Year 6 graduations as our primary learners marked the end of one chapter and prepared to take the exciting next step into Secondary. It was a joyful opportunity to reflect on their achievements, celebrate their growth, and look ahead to new challenges and opportunities.

💙 We couldn`t be prouder of everything our students have accomplished throughout the 2025–26 academic year.

☀️ As we head into the summer break, we`d like to thank our entire BSB community for another wonderful year of learning, achievement and connection. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in September, when our BSB family will grow even further with the opening of BSB Maresme.

🎓 Across campus, we have celebrated many achievements over the last few weeks, but today we want to shine a spotlight on a very special milestone—our EYFS Graduation!

🌱 After beginning their journey with us in Nursery (and Pre-Nursery in Sitges!), our little learners are now taking their very first big step forward. They are leaving behind Early Years and preparing to start an exciting new chapter in Primary school.

✨ With new uniforms, new teachers, new routines, and new opportunities ahead, this transition marks an important moment in every child`s school journey.

💛 It is a proud and emotional milestone for families too, as they watch their children grow, gain confidence, and become ready for the challenges and adventures that Primary brings.

🚀 A huge thank you to our Early Years teachers for the care, nurture, and dedication they have given our children over these years. We are truly grateful for the positive impact you have had on their learning and development.

🌱 Last week, our Year 9 students took part in an engaging workshop with Sustainability at School (@sustainabilityatschool), exploring how BSB can reduce its environmental impact and become even more sustainable.

💡 Students analysed the school`s energy use, identifying practical solutions such as maximising natural light, improving energy-saving habits, and ensuring lights are switched off when not in use.

🍽️ They also explored ways to reduce food waste, including encouraging smaller portions and more mindful consumption.

📋 Working collaboratively, students developed a three-year action plan to promote greener habits and drive positive change across our school community.

🌍 Through our partnership with Sustainability at School, we continue to empower students to become sustainability leaders and turn ideas into meaningful action.

🍫🎶🎩 Chocolate factories, Greek islands, and musical classics—our end-of-year shows brought a wonderful variety of stories to life across our BSB campuses.

🎭 End-of-year show season has taken centre stage, giving our students the chance to perform, collaborate, and share their hard work with our school community.

🍫 At BSB City, our Year 3 students stepped into the world of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, filling our halls with chocolate, imagination, and plenty of Oompa Loompas.

🎶 Meanwhile, at BSB City Secondary, the Lunchtime Drama Club put their own spin on Mamma Mia!, taking audiences on a journey to Greece through music and theatre.

🎩 At BSB Sitges, our Year 6 students performed Oliver!, marking the end of their Primary years before taking their next step into Secondary School.

⭐ And at BSB Castelldefels, students from our REACH Beyond enrichment programme brought Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to the stage.

👏 A huge thank you to our Music & Drama teams for the time, care, and dedication that go into every production.

🚀 BSB City is now a recognised NRICH Problem-Solving School!

🎉 We are delighted to announce that our Barcelona campus has been recognised as an NRICH Problem-Solving School through the prestigious University of Cambridge initiative.

🧠 NRICH is part of the University of Cambridge’s Millennium Mathematics Project and supports schools in developing students’ problem-solving, reasoning and critical-thinking skills through rich mathematical enquiry and exploration.

🧩 For our students, this recognition reflects an approach to learning that goes beyond finding the right answer. Students are encouraged to explore different strategies, justify their thinking and develop the confidence to tackle unfamiliar problems independently, through collaboration, discussion and challenge.

💡 The accreditation also aligns with BSB’s focus on Hard Thinking—encouraging students to embrace challenge, think deeply and develop the resilience needed to become successful lifelong learners. These skills are increasingly important in a world shaped by rapid technological change and AI.

🌟 On Saturday, BSB Castelldefels proudly hosted the first Spanish edition of the @educationfestuk , bringing together educators and professionals for a day of learning, collaboration, and inspiration, all united 
by a passion for making a positive impact through education.
 
🚀 A special thank you to @education_scape and the Festival of Education team for bringing this inspiring event to Barcelona after 15 years in the UK, creating a fantastic opportunity for educators to learn, connect, and collaborate closer to home.
 
🎤 We were honoured to hear from our keynote speakers: @geoffbartonsuffolk on the power of oracy, @owenokaneten on wellbeing, @rculatta on healthy digital habits, and @chessmarti on the beauty of diversity.
 
🏫 We were especially proud to see BSB colleagues Marga Sardà, Maria Kovac, Neil Tetley, and James Petrie take to the stage, alongside colleagues from across the @cognitaschools family, including @hastingsschool and @elis.villamartin .
 
🤝 The event was also honoured by the presence of mayor @manualcalde_ and representatives from Castelldefels Town Hall, reinforcing the strong connection between education and our local community, in a city that continues to strengthen its reputation as a hub for education, research and innovation.
 
💡 Our exhibition space was buzzing all day thanks to @evidencebasededucation , @centurytechlearning , @unioftheartslondon , and @innerdrive_edu , while attendees enjoyed great food and networking opportunities, including offerings from our own @saned.nutricio kitchen team.  
 
📱 Finally, a special mention to @pocketdebate , the AI-powered oracy app developed by BSB students, showcasing the very best of what BSB works for: entrepreneurship, innovation, and oracy.
 
👏 Behind every great event is a great team. A huge thank you to our BSB Operations, Maintenance, IT, and Communications teams for their work behind the scenes in making the day such a success. Here’s to the first of many more Festival of Education Spain editions to come!

✨ What a special night at BSB City! ✨
 
🎉 Our Year 11 Prom at BSB City was a truly special celebration of the end of an important chapter. After completing their IGCSEs, our students came together with families, friends and teachers to mark the end of their Secondary journey and celebrate all they have achieved.
 
🎶 The evening was filled with memorable moments, from fantastic performances by our BSB City student band to speeches and Excellence Awards recognising the hard work, dedication and achievements of our students.
 
🌟 Held in The Forum — a space usually reserved for our IB students — the event symbolised an exciting step forward, as our Year 11s prepare to move from the blue-striped Secondary uniform to the next stage of their academic journey.
 
💙We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them. Their resilience and growth over the past years have been truly inspiring.
