✨ We’re ALMOST back… We hope you are all ready for tomorrow as we welcome our students for their very first day of the Summer Term!

🎉 An exciting 11 weeks lie ahead, filled with lots of learning opportunities, personal growth, and shared experiences, colonias, end-of-year trips, expeditions, proms, and eventually saying goodbye to our graduating Class of 2026 — although there’s still plenty of time and memories to make first.

👩‍🍳 As a reminder, our afterschool clubs will also be running from tomorrow, the first day of term. Here’s a glimpse of our Cooking Afterschool, where students build skills, confidence, and friendships while learning to cook delicious, healthy food — like this sushi our BSB Sitges pupils made!

🌊 Keeping our beaches clean, together —for a more sustainable future

At BSB, students across our campuses took part in beach clean-ups in both our coastal locations of SItges and Castelldefels and the city of Barcelona. By caring for the environments around us, students saw first-hand how collective action can make a meaningful difference.

🧤 Through these experiences, students explored the impact of plastic pollution and reflected on how everyday habits can help protect our natural spaces.

🌱 Sustainability at BSB is an ongoing journey. We continue to review and strengthen our practices across learning, operations and daily school life, always aiming to improve year after year.

🏃‍♀️ Sport for every age, every stage at BSB!

📚 At BSB, our Sport programme is designed to be age-appropriate and progressive, giving every student the opportunity to develop confidence and skills as they grow, while also building connections that are so important for social and character development.

🎈 For example, from Nursery to Year 4, pupils build strong foundations through fundamental movement skills, developing balance, coordination, and confidence through engaging, age-appropriate activities.

🤝 As students progress, they build on these foundations across a wide range of sports, developing teamwork, resilience, leadership, and fair play — ensuring every child can participate, improve, and enjoy being active.

☀️ With the Summer Term approaching, we’re excited for Sports Days bringing students, staff, and families together for a morning of fun and community spirit.

🌱 Our BSB City Nursery pupils enjoyed their first educational visit, walking to nearby park to release worms into the wild.

🚶‍♀️ A short walk beyond campus gave our youngest learners the chance to stretch their legs, explore their neighbourhood, and connect with nature in the heart of Barcelona.

🍃 This session supported our Spring term inquiry, “Change”, as pupils explored:
🔹What changes can we see in nature, animals and weather?
🔹How do our actions change the world and our feelings?
🔹What happens when we mix, cook or grow things?

🌿 Through hands-on exploration and sensory experiences, children began to understand the importance of caring for the natural environment and respecting all living things.

🌟 Learning outdoors sparks curiosity, encourages discovery, and helps our youngest learners build meaningful connections with the world around them.

💡 Big ideas need inspiring spaces

🚀 This school year, we unveiled the second-floor expansion of our newly evolved STEAM Centre at BSB Castelldefels, a milestone that marks a new chapter in interdisciplinary learning.

🎨 With this expansion, our STEM Centre officially becomes a STEAM Centre, bringing Arts into Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. This evolution reflects our belief that creativity, design and innovation are essential to solving real-world challenges.

🧵The new second floor introduces thoughtfully designed, purpose-built spaces, including flexible science classrooms, a dedicated Art classroom and creative design areas — all created to support cross-disciplinary learning and exploration.

🧪 Together, these new learning environments offer students from BSB Castelldefels and BSB Nexus more opportunities to explore, create and develop future-focused skills.

🎸 Our Students Rock the BSB Stage!

🎶 This spring term, our BSB Castelldefels and BSB Nexus students took to the stage at the BSB Theatre for our Battle of the Bands, showcasing the musical talent across our school.

🌟 Student groups performed a wide range of styles and genres, bringing energy, creativity, and confidence to every performance. As part of our Performing Arts Enrichment REACH Beyond programme, the event offered a fantastic opportunity for students to perform live, collaborate in bands, and develop their musical identity.

🎤 Guided by BSB Nexus mentors, students worked on rehearsals, arrangements, and performance skills — culminating in an exciting celebration of our vibrant musical culture.

👏 Congratulations to all our young musicians and their dedicated Music teachers — it’s inspiring to see them shine on stage and grow year after year!
