Jon joined BSB as Executive Principal in 2018 and has led the school to record success; BSB was judged to be Outstanding in all categories in the recent BSO inspection.
Before moving to Spain Jon spent 10 years as Headteacher of the Leventhorpe School in the UK where he was accredited a National Leader of Education (NLE), and the school, a National Teaching School. Jon studied Maths at Cardiff University and a PGCE at the University of Cambridge, playing rugby for both. He also played international Rugby and represented Saracens for a number of years.
He now enjoys cycling, running and walking in the beautiful local countryside.
Dominik was appointed Business Manager for BSB in 2018, where he oversees the areas of Finance, HR, Facilities & Operations, Admissions, and IT for all campuses.
Joining one of the largest and most prestigious international schools in Barcelona was a heart decision after his career in finance, consulting, and management: Dominik’s father was a Headteacher and his mother a Primary teacher.
Dominik has a law degree and an MBA from the IESE Business School. In his spare time, he enjoys long walks in nature, travelling, and skiing.
Emma relocated with her family from the UK in 2017 to become Head of Primary at BSB, Castelldefels.
Prior to this Emma was Head Teacher of a large primary school in the North East of England for 8 Years, where she achieved outstanding success through innovative practices. Emma was also the Primary Director for North Tyneside Learning Trust, collaborating with 44 other Trust Schools. Emma has a BA (Hons) in Primary Education and was awarded NPQH (National Professional Qualification in Headship) from the National College in 2011.
In her spare time, Emma enjoys skiing, yoga, walking and travel.
James was appointed Deputy Head of BSB Secondary in 2015 and has been Headteacher since 2018.
He has taught and led in UK state and Independent schools as well as working in the international sector.
James has a degree in English and Related Literature from the University of York and a PGCE from Cambridge University.
James’ interests include History, Literature, Art and Sport.
