🏕️ To round off the school year, our Key Stage 3 students across BSB City and BSB Castelldefels headed off on unforgettable residential trips across Catalonia, creating memories that will last a lifetime while developing confidence, independence and teamwork.

🐴 Year 7 enjoyed outdoor adventures in La Cerdanya, including horse riding and archery. 🌲 Year 8 embraced nature in Prades through exciting team-building challenges and hikes, while 🌊 Year 9 travelled to the Costa Brava for action-packed water sports.

💙 These experiences gave our students the opportunity to strengthen friendships, connect with nature, challenge themselves and grow in ways that simply can`t be replicated in the classroom.

🎉 After completing their IGCSEs, our Year 11 students came together with their families, friends and teachers in our campus theatre to celebrate the end of an important chapter and reflect on everything they have achieved throughout their journey at BSB.

🎶 From outstanding student performances to heartfelt speeches and plenty of unforgettable moments, the evening was a wonderful celebration of their hard work, resilience and growth.

☀️ Summer is finally here, but we`re still looking back at some of our favourite end-of-year moments!

⚽ One of the highlights was the BSB Castelldefels Primary Girls` Football Tournament, where our talented players showcased their teamwork, determination and love for the game.

🙌 The Girls` Football Club is open to students in Years 5 and 6 and it offers weekly sessions designed to help them develop their football skills, build confidence and strengthen teamwork in a fun and supportive environment.

🌟 At BSB, our Sport for all approach encourages every pupil to enjoy physical activity as part of their everyday school experience, with opportunities embedded throughout the day whether it’s PE lessons, lunchtime clubs or extracurricular activities.

🇩🇪 History, bikes, iconic landmarks... and a water park? Year 10`s trip to Berlin had it all.

📍 Designed to bring history to life, the itinerary took students through the places that have shaped Berlin into the city it is today. From the Brandenburg Gate and the Bundestag to the Berlin Wall, the Holocaust Memorial and the former Stasi prison, every stop offered a deeper understanding of Germany`s past and present—plus the chance to put their German skills into practice.

🚴 Alongside immersive museums and a Cold War bike tour, students experienced Berlin`s unique culture before finishing the trip with a well-earned day at Tropical Islands Water Park. The perfect way to celebrate the end of the school year, combining learning, adventure and unforgettable memories.

As we wrap up another school year, we`re looking back at the achievements of our Secondary and Pre-University students, who have taken on some of the world`s most challenging STEM competitions.

Throughout the year, our students have taken on some of the most prestigious national and international challenges, achieving:

🌍 Across competitions including the UKMT Maths Challenges, British Olympiads, the Physics Bowl and Biology and Chemistry Olympiads, our students achieved outstanding results, including progression to advanced Olympiad rounds, international team titles, top rankings in Spain, and places in the Top 1% worldwide.

💡 These competitions demand far more than textbook knowledge—they challenge students to think critically, solve complex problems and apply their learning in entirely new ways.

👏 A huge congratulations to all the students who took part, and thank you to our incredible teachers, whose passion and support help make these opportunities possible!

🧩 Play is at the heart of learning in Early Years.

✨ Through activities such as building with blocks, role play, exploration and imaginative games, children develop the foundations for thinking, reasoning and problem-solving. Every playful experience helps them make sense of the world around them.

📐 In the construction area, children begin to explore early mathematical concepts such as shape, size, length and spatial awareness, while role play encourages language development, creativity, memory and communication skills.
