Havent rebut l'acreditació «d'Excel·lent en totes les categories» a la nostra darrera inspecció, ens enorgulleix oferir una educació internacional de qualitat i prestigi reconegut a estudiants de dos a divuit anys.
Els resultats acadèmics són fonamentals, i l'alumnat de BSB obté qualificacions excepcionals, cosa que els permet accedir a les millors universitats tant a Espanya com a la resta del món. No obstant això, per prosperar en un món en constant evolució, els/les joves necessiten alguna cosa més que bones notes. Han de desenvolupar les habilitats i atributs necessaris en un món on molts llocs de treball estaran automatitzats, i les qualitats més «humanes», com la creativitat, la curiositat i la col·laboració, seran altament valorades.

The British School of Barcelona manté el seu estatus com a «Excel·lent en totes les categories» després de la inspecció que British Schools Overseas va fer de l'escola l'octubre de 2024. Es tracta del més alt reconeixement que pot rebre una escola internacional, cosa que ens situa entre les millors escoles britàniques del món.
La inspecció de British Schools Overseas està acreditada pel Govern Britànic i som l'única escola de Barcelona amb aquest distintiu de qualitat.

🎶 Over the past few days, our younger learners have welcomed parents into their classrooms for their Celebrations of Learning, proudly sharing everything they have achieved this term, alongside plenty of Christmas carols and festive moments.

🎄 What is Christmas without a delicious festive meal?
🥣 Take a glimpse at today’s Christmas menu, carefully prepared by our teams — from Christmas soup with small meatballs to grilled vegetables and baked Christmas chicken with mashed potatoes, apple and cinnamon.
🎅Over the past few weeks, festive decorations, elf hats and seasonal cheer have filled our dining halls, helping to create a warm and joyful atmosphere each day and from our BSB kitchen and dining hall teams, who would like to extend a very Merry Christmas to our whole BSB community!

🎭 As we begin to wrap up the term, our Secondary and Pre-University students have been celebrating by sharing their talents through music, drama and performance, showcasing their creativity, confidence and passion.
🎄 At BSB City, our Secondary concert and a staged reading of A BSB Christmas Carol brought our school community together, filling the halls with festive cheer.
🎶 Meanwhile, at BSB Castelldefels, our whole-school concert was a truly special occasion, marking the debut of our Parent Choir alongside a wide variety of musical performances — including several pieces performed by our very own BSB Staff Choir.

✨ Last Friday, a group of keen readers from our BSB Castelldefels Secondary had the exciting opportunity to take part in “El Club dels Experts” (@club.dels.experts.cast), a radio podcast about reading that features book discussions, recommendations, and improvisation activities, broadcast by Radio Castelldefels (@radiocastelldefels).
🎙️ The programme host and sound technician visited our school to record two episodes, which will be released in the new year. It was fantastic to see our students speak so confidently and enthusiastically about their favourite books and characters, connecting with one another through shared interests and responding thoughtfully — and often improvising brilliantly — to a wide range of questions.
📚 Alongside well-loved fiction such as The Hunger Games and Harry Potter, students also tackled non-fiction books, exploring important topics like social media and wellbeing in sport. Their ability to think on their feet and discuss these themes with maturity truly impressed everyone. All of this was done in Catalan, showcasing their excellent oracy skills and passion for reading.

☕ A wonderful morning celebrating Oracy through Music, Art & Physical Education!
🌟 Our BSB City community enjoyed a relaxed coffee morning with parents where students showcased their growing confidence to express ideas, perform, and communicate through a variety of creative subjects:
🔹 Our Year 10 musicians performed pieces contributing to her iGCSE coursework.
🔹 A Year 11 PE student shared how he records and analyses his own sports performances to explain key techniques for his iGCSE programme.
🔹 And a Year 13 IB student presented her incredible artwork, giving us insight into her creative process.
💬 This opportunity to present to families allowed parents to see how our enriched curriculum comes to life — and how what we teach in the classroom takes shape as students prepare for their future examinations.
💛 Thank you to all the families who joined us to hear these inspiring student presentations and to connect with teachers and one another.

🐉 Our Year 6 pupils at BSB Sitges took their Enterprise Project to the next level with a real Dragon’s Den experience!
💡Pitching in business teams, they presented their Christmas product ideas to Headteachers Emily Henderson & Andrew Marshall, plus Stephen and Lyssandra, Year 6 Parents — showcasing creativity, persuasive communication, and teamwork.
🎄From projecs involving eco-friendly crackers, personalised cards and festive baubles, they defended their costs, explained their profit plans, and answered tough questions about materials and sustainability.
👏They’re now getting ready to sell their creations at next Thursday’s Christmas Fair — a brilliant step in their real-world learning journey as future entrepreneurs.

The British School of Barcelona és l’única escola a Barcelona que ha rebut l’estatus «Excel·lent en Totes les Categories» en la inspecció de British School Overseas l’octubre de 2024. Aquest és el reconeixement més alt que pot rebre una escola britànica. El nostre model educatiu destaca per la qualitat de la nostra ensenyança, la nostra relació amb les famílies i els/les estudiants, i l’enfocament global del nostre projecte educatiu. El professorat altament qualificat, el currículum innovador i l’enfocament tant en l’èxit acadèmic com en el creixement personal creen un entorn d’aprenentatge dinàmic. A més, oferim dues rutes per a les qualificacions d’accés a la universitat: el Programa del Diploma del Batxillerat Internacional (IBDP) i els A Levels (complementats amb qualificacions espanyoles si és necessari). Ambdós són reconeguts i respectats internacionalment per les principals universitats del món.
Assegurem una atenció personalitzada, un aprenentatge efectiu i un entorn d’aula de suport per fomentar el creixement individual. La nostra ràtio mitjana varia segons l’etapa educativa.
Unir-se a BSB és un procés senzill i àgil. El nostre equip d’Admissions està aquí per orientar-te en cada pas del camí. Per començar, hauràs de complementar el formulari de sol·licitud online i proporcionar els informes escolars més recents de l’alumne, passaport/ID i referències (si s’escau). Això ens permet iniciar el procés d’admissió i assegurar-nos que podem satisfer les necessitats del teu fill / de la teva filla. Depenent de l’edat de l’alumne i l’any d’ingrés, us proposarem fer una avaluació informal o una entrevista per avaluar la seva competència en anglès. A més, l’alumne tindrà una entrevista amb el/la Director/a com a part del procés.
