Havent rebut l'acreditació «d'Excel·lent en totes les categories» a la nostra darrera inspecció, ens enorgulleix oferir una educació internacional de qualitat i prestigi reconegut a estudiants de dos a divuit anys.
Els resultats acadèmics són fonamentals, i l'alumnat de BSB obté qualificacions excepcionals, cosa que els permet accedir a les millors universitats tant a Espanya com a la resta del món. No obstant això, per prosperar en un món en constant evolució, els/les joves necessiten alguna cosa més que bones notes. Han de desenvolupar les habilitats i atributs necessaris en un món on molts llocs de treball estaran automatitzats, i les qualitats més «humanes», com la creativitat, la curiositat i la col·laboració, seran altament valorades.
L’escola també ha de ser un lloc on gaudir. A BSB, oferim un entorn enriquidor on els/les joves es poden desenvolupar plenament i afrontar cada repte amb confiança i seguretat.

The British School of Barcelona manté el seu estatus com a «Excel·lent en totes les categories» després de la inspecció que British Schools Overseas va fer de l'escola l'octubre de 2024. Es tracta del més alt reconeixement que pot rebre una escola internacional, cosa que ens situa entre les millors escoles britàniques del món.
La inspecció de British Schools Overseas està acreditada pel Govern Britànic i som l'única escola de Barcelona amb aquest distintiu de qualitat.

Hem tingut el privilegi de rebre la visita de The Good Schools Guide International, que ha elaborat l'informe de l'escola. El resultat ha estat un informe imparcial, directe i exhaustiu de cada campus.

🎓 This week, BSB Nexus hosted the closing ceremony for this year`s Sharing to Learn Programme — one of our most cherished initiatives at BSB. The ceremony was a moment to recognise the dedication of our Year 12 Language Assistants and our local partner schools, Edumar and Garigot in Castelldefels.
🏛️ We were honoured to welcome Mr Eduard Carbonell, Inspector of Education from the Generalitat de Catalunya, and Ms Sònia Luguarda, Coordinator of Foreign Language Programmes at ST Baix Llobregat, alongside Mark Woodward, Headteacher of Secondary and Pre-University, and Ramon Rius, Programme Coordinator at BSB, who led the institutional opening.
💬 During the ceremony, our students shared their reflections on what turned out to be a truly life-changing experience. Many arrived expecting to teach — and left amazed by how much they had learned themselves, both from the experience and from the young children they supported along the way.
🎥 The most heartwarming moment of the afternoon was watching the videos recorded by each class at the local partner schools — filled with messages of gratitude, laughter, and more than a few heartfelt "we`ll miss you"s.
🌱 BSB has been part of this initiative since 2012, and through it we continue to strengthen our bonds with local schools, fostering genuine collaboration and mutual growth. The programme enriches the language skills of Primary pupils while helping our Pre-University students build essential life skills — from self-confidence and leadership to creativity and teamwork. Seeing how much they`ve grown, and the real connections they`ve forged, it reminds us why this programme matters so much.

🎓 Our A Levels & IB Psychology students from BSB Nexus and BSB City stepped into university life at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (@uabbarcelona)
🧠 The day combined a campus visit with a masterclass in Criminology and Forensic Psychology led by Elena Garrido Gaitán and Anna Meléndez Peretó. In the session, students explored:
🔹 What drives criminal behaviour
🔹 How the legal system responds to crime
🔹 Approaches to treatment and rehabilitation
🔹 The role of psychological diagnosis in legal contexts
💬 A real case study brought everything together, prompting discussion on how psychological assessments are used in court and the balance between supporting victims and offenders.
🌟 Takeaway: A clear, real-world view of how psychology connects with law and society, along with a deeper understanding of what these career paths involve.

🥕 Every week, we receive fresh produce from trusted suppliers, including one of our main partners, Ametller Origen (@ametllerorigen ) — a Catalan-owned grocery chain focused on sustainable, local vegetables and fruits, prioritising seasonal produce.
🍅 These fresh ingredients form the base of many of our made-in-house meals. From fresh pasta sauces and colourful salads to nutritious sides for fish and meat, and a selection of fresh fruit for dessert, our kitchen team transforms seasonal ingredients into delicious, balanced dishes every day.
🌿 We prioritise seasonal and local produce not only to reduce our environmental impact, but also to adapt our menus to what nature offers throughout the year. We also receive various deliveries throughout the week across our BSB campuses, allowing our kitchens to work their magic behind the stove using the freshest food — and we’re lucky to enjoy it!

🌍 This year, our ‘BSB Speaks’ programme is coming to life across the whole school.
🗣️ From play-based communication with Concept Cat in Early Years to Talk Partners and Golden Microphone awards in Primary, oracy is helping build confidence from the very start.
🎓 In Secondary, students strengthen their communication during a key stage where these skills evolve. Through BSB Speaks, they build skills in public speaking, debating, managing discussions, interviewing and chairing meetings, guided by our 7 Key Expectations and practical step-by-step support.
🌟 Beyond our walls, oracy is thriving too — From BSB Nexus students travelling to Madrid as the only school in Spain at the Europe’s Conference of HCME, to BSB City students attending MUN conferences in Barcelona and Madrid, our students are using their voices in meaningful, real-world contexts. A select group also attended a debating event at UAB in Catalan, demonstrating BSB Speaks skills across languages.

The British School of Barcelona és l’única escola a Barcelona que ha rebut l’estatus «Excel·lent en Totes les Categories» en la inspecció de British School Overseas l’octubre de 2024. Aquest és el reconeixement més alt que pot rebre una escola britànica. El nostre model educatiu destaca per la qualitat de la nostra ensenyança, la nostra relació amb les famílies i els/les estudiants, i l’enfocament global del nostre projecte educatiu. El professorat altament qualificat, el currículum innovador i l’enfocament tant en l’èxit acadèmic com en el creixement personal creen un entorn d’aprenentatge dinàmic. A més, oferim dues rutes per a les qualificacions d’accés a la universitat: el Programa del Diploma del Batxillerat Internacional (IBDP) i els A Levels (complementats amb qualificacions espanyoles si és necessari). Ambdós són reconeguts i respectats internacionalment per les principals universitats del món.
Assegurem una atenció personalitzada, un aprenentatge efectiu i un entorn d’aula de suport per fomentar el creixement individual. La nostra ràtio mitjana varia segons l’etapa educativa.
Unir-se a BSB és un procés senzill i àgil. El nostre equip d’Admissions està aquí per orientar-te en cada pas del camí. Per començar, hauràs de complementar el formulari de sol·licitud online i proporcionar els informes escolars més recents de l’alumne, passaport/ID i referències (si s’escau). Això ens permet iniciar el procés d’admissió i assegurar-nos que podem satisfer les necessitats del teu fill / de la teva filla. Depenent de l’edat de l’alumne i l’any d’ingrés, us proposarem fer una avaluació informal o una entrevista per avaluar la seva competència en anglès. A més, l’alumne tindrà una entrevista amb el/la Director/a com a part del procés.
