Innovation, Technology, and STEAM
2025 has also been a year of exciting innovation and creativity:

  • The BSB STEAM Centre in Castelldefels has been significantly expanded with the addition of a new top floor, increasing capacity from four to ten classrooms. This development introduces a brand-new, fully equipped art studio, further enriching our existing top-notch professional laboratories.
  • In June, BSB Castelldefels hosted its first-ever Festival of Technology, featuring AI, robotics, drone workshops, and digital projects, sparking students’ curiosity and leadership in future-facing technologies. Read more: BSB Hosts Its First-Ever Festival of Technology
  • We launched our Oracy Programme, ‘BSB Speaks’, with the aim of bringing together all public speaking initiatives across the school and providing students with a wide range of opportunities to develop their oracy skills. These include participation in Model United Nations (MUN), where this year one of our students was awarded Best Delegate at the Madrid conference.

Wellbeing and Emotional Intelligence
Supporting the holistic development of our students has remained a top priority this year as well:

  • The ‘7 Steps: Emotional Intelligence for Life’ programme was launched across all our campuses, exemplified by the creation of a dedicated space known as the Rainbow Corner. This initiative is designed to equip students with the skills to understand, manage, and express their emotions, while promoting empathy, responsibility, and effective conflict resolution. • The annual Global Be Well Day, held in September and dedicated this year to the theme of Connection, united students across all campuses through activities such as story time, yoga, House Song competitions, and international collaboration with Cognita schools in Chile, reinforcing our focus on wellbeing and community. Community, Culture, and Sustainability
Our dedication to community engagement and sustainability has shone throughout the year:

  • The Autumn Fair at BSB Castelldefels raised €2,000 for Fundació Xana, supporting families of children facing serious illnesses. We also took part in initiatives such as collecting toys for DANA victims earlier in the year and Wear It Pink for breast cancer awareness, marking the international awareness month.
  • Sustainability initiatives, including the Cool & Conscious campaign and efforts to reduce single-use plastics, have helped our community cut energy consumption by 11% and foster environmentally responsible habits.
  • Students celebrated local culture during BSB Sitges Corpus 2025, creating beautiful floral carpets and engaging in community traditions. Other highlights included Sant Jordi, La Castanyada, and Caga Tió festivities.

Celebrating 2025 and Looking Forward
From academic achievements and innovative learning experiences to sustainability initiatives and community impact, 2025 has been a year of growth, pride, and inspiration at BSB.

Looking ahead to 2026, we are excited to continue this momentum—welcoming new students, launching new programmes, and hosting the Festival of Education Spain on 13th June at BSB Castelldefels, the first of its kind in continental Europe. You can read more here.

Thank you to all our students, staff, and families for making 2025 such a remarkable year. Together, we are shaping the future of education, one milestone at a time.
