The school year at The British School of Barcelona always commences with an air of excitement and anticipation, and this year was no different. The highlight was the successful Grand Opening of the BSB City Main Campus in Barcelona, marking a remarkable milestone. Furthermore, the recognition of BSB with the prestigious Cognita Schools Award for Growth at the annual Cognita European Leadership Summit added to the sense of achievement for all who contributed.

The Cognita Schools Award for Growth is a testament to BSB’s outstanding growth, primarily due to the successful opening of the BSB City Main Campus in Sarrià-Sant Gervasi in September. This journey has been nothing short of incredible for everyone at BSB over the past two years, and winning this award is a true honour, acknowledging the exceptional effort and teamwork of both our teaching and non-teaching staff who turned this ambitious project into a reality.

Reflecting on this remarkable achievement, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our families, partners, and local authorities, as well as to the entire BSB and Cognita teams for their unwavering support. We remain dedicated to providing the finest educational experience for our students and leaving a positive impact on our BSB community.

The Cognita European Leadership Summit is an annual gathering, bringing together the Executive Board of the international educational group and the Senior Leadership Teams from the 52 European schools across Spain (9 schools), the UK (40 schools), Italy (1 school), and Switzerland (2 schools). This event spans two days of collaboration, where expertise, best practices, and the latest trends in innovation across Cognita schools are shared, all with the common goal of helping students thrive in our rapidly evolving world.
