We are proud to announce that The British School of Barcelona has once again been recognised as one of the Top 100 Schools in both Spain and Barcelona in Micole’s 2026 rankings, marking the sixth consecutive year of this prestigious achievement.

This remarkable recognition is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and excellence of our entire BSB community, from students and staff to families. Your continued support and trust make achievements like this possible.

MiCole’s ranking system is an automated process that considers a wide range of factors, including family evaluations and reviews, online impressions, platform traffic, requests for school visits, attendance at Open Days, and the information provided by schools on the platform.

Since its launch in February 2020, MiCole has helped more than four million families every year to find and compare over thirty thousand educational centres across Spain, streamlining the process of requesting visits, information, and Open Day attendance.

Distinction across Campuses
For the 2026 edition, BSB appears in MiCole with two distinct profiles, both placed within the top rankings. The joint profile for BSB Castelldefels and BSB Sitges has been recognised as Mejores Colegios for the sixth consecutive year, maintaining its status as one of the top schools in Spain.

For the first time, the BSB City Campus, which was recognised as a Top 10 European Small Cohort IB School, has also been recognised independently as one of Mejores Colegios in its own right. In the 2026 rankings, BSB City has been placed among the top schools in the Barcelona Province and the city itself.

Shared Cognita Group Achievements
Several other Cognita Schools in Spain have also been recognised by MiCole alongside BSB. Hastings School in Madrid has secured a place among the Top 100 Schools in Spain, while Mirasur School in Pinto, Colegio Europeo de Madrid in Las Rozas, El Limonar International School Murcia, El Limonar International School Villamartín in Alicante, British School of Valencia (BSV), Colegio Internacional Meres in Asturias, and The English Montessori School in Madrid have also earned recognition in national or regional Top 100 categories.
