Four BSB Football Teams Crowned League Champions in 2025-26 Season
The 2025–2026 season has been another outstanding year for football at The British School of Barcelona. With a significant increase in participation and many new players joining the programme, football at BSB Castelldefels and BSB Nexus continues to go from strength to strength both on and off the pitch.
Throughout the season, our players demonstrated commitment, resilience and a passion for the game, while continuing to develop as athletes, teammates and young people.
Supported by our qualified coaching team and the ongoing partnership between BSB and HUMAES, the programme has continued to provide high-quality football opportunities for students of all ages and abilities.

Castelldefels International Kup (CIKUP)
A highlight of the season was the inaugural Castelldefels International Kup (CIKUP), hosted and sponsored by BSB at the BSB Sports Stadium. The tournament welcomed thirty Under-8 teams from across Spain, France and Portugal, including leading academies such as FC Barcelona, Real Madrid Academy and Paris Saint-Germain.
A selection of Pre Benjamí players proudly represented BSB, gaining valuable experience against elite opposition and securing an impressive victory against Sporting Gavà during the competition.
Looking Ahead
As the programme continues to grow, we will offer three football pathways next season at BSB Castelldefels & BSB Nexus: Federated Football, Consell Football, and Recreational Football. This structure will ensure all students have the opportunity to learn, develop and enjoy football at a level that matches their aspirations and needs. Look at all detailed information in the 2026-27 After-schools Brochure.
At BSB, sport and physical activity remain central to our vision for student development. Providing high-quality sporting opportunities for all students, from Early Years through to Pre-University, is a key priority within our School Development Plan 2025–2028. Through participation, competition and active lifestyles, we aim to help every student develop confidence, wellbeing, resilience and a lifelong love of sport.
Families can explore the full range of sporting opportunities available across each campus in our BSB Sport & Competition Booklets, which outline the pathways, programmes and competitive experiences available throughout the school.
